Arrive at the airport and transfer to Gangtok. After reaching Gangtok, proceed to the hotel for check-in. Return to the hotel (in Gangtok) for overnight stay.
After breakfast, start an excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir which is located 55 kilometers away from Gangtok city. Enjoy your night stay in Gangtok. (In case of landslide or due to any other reason Tsomgo Lake is closed, we will provide alternate sightseeing.)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for a half-day local tour of Gangtok covering Research Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sunday), Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom (closed on Sunday), Tashi View Point and flower show. Later, transfer to the hotel in Darjeeling for overnight stay.
Early in the morning (at 04:00 AM), drive to Tiger Hill and watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Kangchenjunga. On your way back, visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tea Garden (outer view), Ropeway, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and Japanese Temple. In the evening, indulge in some shopping at the local markets. Facilities for overnight stay will be arranged in Darjeeling.
Enjoy a tasty breakfast and check out from the hotel. Transfer to NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport for your onward journey.
Sikkim is a state in northeast India, bordered by Bhutan, Tibet and Nepal. Part of the Himalayas, the area has a dramatic landscape that includes India’s highest mountain, 8,586m Kangchenjunga. Sikkim is also home to glaciers, alpine meadows and thousands of varieties of wildflowers. Steep paths lead to hilltop Buddhist monasteries such as Pemayangtse, which dates to the early 1700s.
